Plan Your Arrival

A few months before arriving, program staff will send emails requesting information about your arrival plans. It is important to let program staff know about any changes or potential problems in a timely manner so they can be best prepared for the participants' arrivals!

Arriving by plane

If a participant is arriving to the Kansas City International Airport, provide flight details to program staff as early as possible and stay in contact about any changes.

Arriving by train

The only train that stops in Lawrence is the Los Angeles to Chicago Southwest Chief Train. With such a long route, the train may be delayed arriving to Lawrence by minutes to hours. Let program staff know if a participant is arriving by train and update them about predicted arrival times throughout the journey.

Arriving by car

If arriving by car, program staff will let participants and their families know where the drop off location will be as well as provide directions and a window of time to arrive.
